Freeze-dried food is created by removing moisture through a process known as freeze-drying, or lyophilization. Here's how it works:
Freezing: The food is frozen at extremely low temperatures, typically around -40°F.
Vacuum: The food is placed in a vacuum chamber where the pressure is reduced.
Sublimation: The frozen water in the food transitions directly from ice to vapor without becoming liquid, in a process called sublimation.
Heating: The food is gently heated, which helps it expand and adjust in the vacuum.
The end result is light, crunchy, and airy food that maintains its color, shape, and flavor but with a new texture and concentrated taste.

Most freeze dried candy items can withstand the rigorous handling of shipping carriers during transportation (i.e. shipping) however, there are several freeze dried candy items that are extremely fragile and can easily crumble when mishandled during shipping. We take every step possible to make sure you receive all items intact, which includes but is not limited to marking your package (i.e. box) with fragile stickers, packing paper and the overall method in which we pack your order.
Since we do not control the handling of packages, we are not responsible if an item is damaged during shipping. Fragile items are clearly labeled in the product description as EXTREMELY FRAGILE and may be easily damaged if not handled with care. -
Our freeze-dried candies are made in a facility that may handle nuts, dairy, soy, gluten, and other common allergens. While we take precautions to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from traces of these allergens.
